Designing cakes

Before I got addicted to cupcakes I used to mainly make cakes, wedding cakes and special occasion cakes. I was just looking at some pictures on my computer when I saw my cake photographs. While I was looking at them I suddenly got butterflies in my tummy, and then decided

I am also going to design cakes again!!!

To create a piece of art is such a fulfilling thing to do, and to make beautiful creations from sugar paste is such a wonderful experience. One of the things I like is the smell of my hands when I work with the sugar paste, it' has a very subtle vanilla scent.

Last Friday I have met a very sweet American lady, Mimi Avishai, we had a very nice conversation about desserts, cakes and cake decoration.

So yesterday evening I had this really nice evening at netanella's house . I was there with my cupcakes. I made a lot of mini cupcakes, and they all sold out and I went home empty (:

I just love selling my cupcakes, when I explain people about the ingredients and decoration, I can go on and on. Cupcakes are so much fun to make. I enjoy choosing and combining the flavours and after wards deciding on how to decorate them.

Any way on friday the 22nd of october I will be participating in the sale of Lihi from Motek boutique soekar at Shd. Yehudith 29 in Tel aviv from 10:00 - 16:00 (see the post from Oct. 11th)

Now how nice would it be to surprise your kids with some fresh cupcakes from Cupcakes & Cookies. Or as a sweet dessert for the family meal on Friday evening. Or just to spoil your self with some delicious fresh cupcakes.

Just some really nice cupcake photo's from the net

This blogging thing is starting to get addictive, suddenly I have the unexplainable urge to share.

I have to watch it, maybe I have to control myself and just write one post a week!!

I'll post a few photographs of some cookies I made for a very sweet little girl, with also a very sweet mother.

The mother is Ayula (http://www.tapuz.co.il/blog/userBlog.asp?FolderName=makemyday)was my neighbor for almost 2 years, and she is such a dear!

It was so nice to have her around, but now she is going to leave us :( .They are being relocated in the US).

So my kids and I really wanted to make something nice for her little girl to nibble on, during the flight.
